MARYVILLE, Mo. – McKendree University men's tennis defeats ranked no. 45 Northwest Missouri State University and fell to Rockhurst and Augustana over the weekend.

On Saturday, April 5^th the Bearcats had a double header against Rockhurst University and Augustana University (SD). The Bearcats fell to Rockhurst 2-4, and Augustana 1-6.

Against Rockhurst, the Hawks take the doubles point. In singles play, no. 2 match sophomore Stepan Mach defeats Keiner 7(7)-6(4), 6-3. Finishing the wins for the Bearcats came from the no. 3 match, junior Bendix Schroeder defeated Skinner 6-3, 6-1.

Against Augustana, the sole win comes from the No. 6 singles match, sophomore Mathijs Aalpol takes down Poppenga 6-3, 6-3.

On Sunday, April 6^th, the Bearcats defeated No. 45 ranked Northwest Missouri State University 4-3. In doubles play, the Bearcats take the point. No. 1 doubles junior duo Luka Kalenic and Aimar Oregui win 6-4, and no. 3 doubles team of junior Bendix Schroeder and sophomore Giacomo Valerga win 7(9)-6(7).
In singles play, no. 2 match sophomore Stepan Mach wins in three sets. Schroeder wins his no. 3 singles match in three sets. To clinch the match, junior Arhaan Pahwa takes down Chiriatti 6-3, 7(7)-6(1).
