LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University softball captured yet another pair of postseason laurels this week with two Bearcats earning D2CCA All-Region honors, as junior shortstop
Lauren Harris was named First Team and junior pitcher
Sami Huck collected a Second Team nod. The two Bearcats were both named All-GLVC earlier this month while Harris added another NFCA First Team regional selection last week. On the year, Harris owns First Team - Shortstop spots for the GLVC, NFCA, and D2CCA, while Huck collected two All-GLVC nods on Second Team - Pitcher, Utility Pitcher and now the honor from D2CCA. Harris, Huck, and the Bearcats finished out their campaign in the postseason at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament during the first week of May. The 2025 campaign featured another 30-win season (33-21 overall, 18-10 GLVC; first back-to-back 30-win seasons since 2017-2018) and setting program marks for batting average, on-base percentage, runs scored, hits, doubles, RBIs, saccrifice flies, and strikeouts thrown, all while achieving the highest national ranking in program history.

About D2CCA
The D2CCA All-America and All-Region softball teams, which are selected by College Sports Communications (CSC) members from schools playing Division II softball, were first established in 2007. This year represents the ninth year in which the Division II Conference Commissioners Association solely sponsored the program.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
