Indianapolis, IN - The McKendree University Football team faced a battle with Mother Nature right after they got off the bus for Saturday's game, as pregame warmups would go into multiple lightning delays, but eventually, the Bearcats (0-3, 0-1 GLVC) would have another battle on their hands - the (RV) UIndy Greyhounds (3-1, 1-0 GLVC), who were looking to avenge the Bearcats having defeated them at Key Stadium back in the 2023 season. McKendree produced several momentum-shifting plays in all three phases, but the Greyhounds protected their home field, winning by a 47-19 final margin.
EARLY SPARK
McKendree came out sharp on its opening possession, with kicker
Chase Reeves capping the drive with a 40-yard field goal for the first points of the night. Later in the quarter, the defense made its mark when
Robert Frank broke through the line for a safety, cutting into the Greyhounds' lead and giving the Bearcats early energy.
