Bearcats narrowly drop in title bout after trouncing first three opponents

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa | UNI Dome - No.2 / #2 McKendree University women's wrestling (14-1, 3-0 GLVC) closed out the 2026 NWCA National Duals event on Saturday, finishing second after going 3-1 with wins over Grand Valley State, Colorado Mesa, and Gannon. 131 Cameron Guerin made her debut for the year, going 3-0, while 103 Heather Crull and 180 Destiny Rodriguez both went 4-0 overall on the weekend, all helping push the Bearcats to their high National Duals finish since 2022. McKendree gets a few days recovery before taking on the MoBap Open on January 16 across St. Louis at Missouri Baptist University.
