LINCOLN, Neb. – McKendree Women's bowling competed in a stacked house at the Big Red Invite hosted by Nebraska at Hollywood Bowl this past weekend.
On the first day of the competition, the team went 3-2 in baker matches. The three wins came against No. 2 Vanderbilt (1,076-957), No.3 Arkansas State (994-977) and No. 4 Wichita State (1,054-1,018). This would land them in sixth place after day one.
Day two was composed of six traditional games in which the team finished with a total pinfall of 5,597. Individually, Shanna Kimball led the way for the team with five accredited games, averaging 188.5.
Addysen Case finished with four games to her name, averaging 201.75 and she finished the day with a nice 221 game. Alexa Valadez, Grace Ogle, and Jaycie Smith all ended with four accredited games, averaging 184.5, 182.25, and 173 respectively.
With two games on the day, Emma Zinn, Ava Lewis, Victoria Porta and Cierra Brown had averages of 199, 192, 187 and 174.5 respectively. Enairys Dias had one game to her name and rolled a solid 182 game.
After the traditional games the team would find themselves as the #10 seed and face off against the #11 seed Quincy. The Bearcats would cruise past the Hawks with a 4-1 victory. They would then have a match against the #9 seed Youngstown State, where the script would flip and lose 1-4. This would end the tournament in 10th place for McKendree.
After the tournament, the team would end with a total pinfall of 12,572 through a total of 65 games. In head-to-head matchups they finished with a record of 6-7.

McKendree will have a week off and then will be traveling to Smyrna, Tennessee for the Music City Classic hosted by Vanderbilt at Smyrna Lanes March 6th through the 8th.
