St. Louis, MO - The McKendree University Men's Tennis team edged out a thrilling 4-3 victory over the UMSL Tritons at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center, using a strong doubles start and clutch performances in singles to secure the narrow win. The Bearcats claimed the doubles point and battled through several tightly contested singles matches to come out on top. 

McKendree opened by winning two of three doubles matches to take the early point. Bendix Schroeder and Ignacio Paolini earned a 6-4 win at No. 1, while Riccardo Ercolani and Felix Diedrichs matched that score at No. 2. UMSL picked up the win at No. 3, but the Bearcats carried momentum into singles play. 

In singles, McKendree found key victories despite early setbacks. Schroeder delivered a pivotal comeback win at No. 3, rallying after dropping the first set to win a third-set tiebreak. Luka Kalenic added another crucial point at No. 4 with a three-set victory in a tight match. 

Aimar Oregui provided the decisive point at No. 6, earning a straight-set win to clinch the match for the Bearcats. UMSL claimed wins at the top two spots and at No. 5.
