Indianapolis, IN - The McKendree University Men's Tennis team wrapped up the regular season with a 7-0 loss on the road at UIndy, facing one of the GLVC's top teams. Despite the result, the Bearcats secured a spot in the upcoming GLVC Tournament, continuing their season into postseason play.
UIndy controlled the match from the outset by taking the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. Bendix Schroeder and Ignacio Paolini fell in a tight match at the top spot, while Riccardo Ercolani and Felix Diedrichs dropped the No. 2 contest. McKendree picked up a win at No. 3 behind Aimar Oregui and Arhaan Pahwa, but the Greyhounds still claimed the early advantage.
In singles, McKendree battled through several competitive matches across the lineup. Luka Kalenic and Stepan Mach each pushed their matches to three sets at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, while Felix Diedrichs also forced a tight second set at No. 3. However, UIndy's depth proved decisive, as the Greyhounds secured all six singles courts to complete the sweep.
McKendree now turns its focus to the GLVC Tournament, set for May 1–3 at Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana.
