LEBANON, Ill. — McKendree University men's basketball and Head Coach George Suggs have announced the class of 2026 signings of Sean Lee (Decatur, Ill.) and Jordan Taylor (Collinsville, Ill.) to their program.
Sean Lee | MacArthur High School | Decatur, Illinois
6'4" guard Sean Lee comes to McKendree after finishing up his time at Macarther High School in Decatur, Illinois. He will showcase an inside-out scoring presence with the Bearcat jersey on while having the ability to be playmaker in the post area and get his teammates involved in a variety of levels.
"McKendree felt like home," said Lee. "The coaching staff instantly made me feel like a part of the family."
The new addition to the program averaged 17 points, eight rebounds, and two assists per game in his senior season with the Generals, while playing a majority of the positions on the floor. In the 2024-25 season, Lee was the Central State Eight Conference, with a spot on the First Team All-Conference. He also made Second Team All-State in the same year.
"Sean Lee is a phenomenal player," said MacArther Boy's Basketball Head Coach Terise Bryson. "He has been a leader for the program and I thank him for the sacrifices he made, especially his senior season. Sean has grit, works hard, and really showed his dedication this season. I look forward to his success on and off the court."
Lee is in the top 30% of his class currently at MacArthur, as he will plan to major in Business once stepping foot on campus in the fall.
Jordan Taylor | Collinsville High School | Collinsville, Illinois
6'6" forward Jordan Taylor looks to make his way to Lebanon after he wraps up a successful stint at Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Illinois. He looks to bring an abundance of physicality and high-IQ to the floor, doing whatever it takes to get his team to win.
"I chose McKendree because it is a beautiful place where I can get better, and become the man I truly want to be," said Taylor. "Basketball will help me grow stronger and also tie unforgettable relationships and memories."
The incoming freshman was a dual-sport athlete with the Kahoks, being a two-year varsity basketball player and a three-year varsity starter on the volleyball team. Basketball specifically, Taylor was named to the Southwestern Conference Second Team All-Conference, while also being bestowed as the team captain.
"Jordan earned every bit of this opportunity," said Collinsville Boy's Basketball Head Coach Hank Mathews. "He is a hard-worker, great leader and a tremendous teammate. His athleticism & his ability to make plays at the rim offensively and defensively is going to make him a valuable asset to the program & he will only continue to get better. His most immediate & significant impact is the type of person McKendree and the basketball program are getting, and that will be felt as soon as he steps foot on campus. Jordan is a perfect fit for McKendree."
Taylor made honor roll for two years and has current 3.5 grade point average (GPA) while attending Collinsville. He anticipates in majoring in Dentistry while at McKendree in the fall.
