Biography

2022: Appeared in 18 games in relief…finished with a 4-4 record over 39.1 innings of work…struck out 34 batters…collected one save…struck out five hitters against both GVSU and William Jewell


AS A JUNIOR (2020): Made four starts, going 2-1 with a 3.54 earned-run average...tied for the team lead in victories and was second in ERA...was third on the team with 21 strikeouts over 20 1/3 innings of work...struck out a career-high 14 batters over seven innings in his final start of the year against Maryville on March 8...received Academic All-GLVC honors. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2019): Made 12 appearances, including four starts...was 2-5 on the season...struck out a season-high four batters over 3 1/3 innings of work at Bellarmine on March 11...collected both victories in consecutive outings at Missouri-St. Louis on March 20 and at Truman State on March 24...named to the Academic All-GLVC squad.

AS A FRESHMAN (2018): Appeared in 14 games, making four starts...had a record of 2-1 with a 4.78 earned-run average...also added one save against Oakland City on April 7...was third on team with 23 strikeouts...notched victories against Indianapolis on April 22 and UW-Parkside on May 5...collected Academic All-GLVC honors. 

BEFORE McK: Hit .311 with four home runs and 27 runs batted in as a senior at Edwardsville High School…also posted a 6-1 record with 66 strikeouts and a 1.04 ERA as a senior for the Tigers…was a first-team All-Metro honoree as a utility player…helped team to a second-place finish in the IHSA Class 4A State Championship as a senior.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Jo Marie and David Yancik.
