McKendree University Athletics

AS A JUNIOR (2013): Started 20 games in right field...batted .290 with 11 runs batted in...was a .304 hitter in GLVC play...notched four multi-hit contests...batted .438 as the leadoff man in an inning.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2012): Split time between the McKendree varsity and junior varsity programs...played in 11 games at the varsity level with three starts, including two behind the plate...batted .214 and scored a pair of runs.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Registered a .294 batting average in nine games with the McKendree JV team...tied for team lead with 10 hits, which included three doubles...also tied for team lead with five RBI.

BEFORE McK: Was a three-year letterman at Marion High School...hit over .300 with four home runs as a senior for the Wildcats...earned the Silver Slugger Award during his baseball career...helped Marion to regional and conference championships in 2008 and 2009...played for coach Marty Manfreedo.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Rodney and Rebecca King...also serves as a kicker for the Bearcats’ football program.
