2015 SEASON: Did not play...sat out the season as a redshirt.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Spent the season as a reserve catcher for the Bearcats...played in 21 games with 15 starts behind the plate...batted .227 with a home run and two RBI...closed the season with a four-game hit streak...was a .600 hitter when leading off an inning...named to the Academic All-GLVC team.

BEFORE McK: Played for former McKendree pitching standout John Frech at North Clay High School…batted .344 with 12 stolen bases and eight RBI as a senior for the Cardinals…also scored 27 runs…earned first-team All-Conference honors as a senior…helped North Clay to a pair of regional championships…was named an Illinois State Scholar in 2013...received honorable mention All-Conference honors as a junior.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Mike and Tonni Micklautz.
