Biography

2016 SEASON: Grabbed first-team All-GLVC honors...led McKendree with 771 rushing yards on 212 carries...was second on the team with four rushing touchdowns...was second in the GLVC in rushing yards per game (77.1 YPG)...had four games with at least 100 rushing yards, including three straight against Southwest Baptist, Indianapolis and Saint Joseph's...rushed for a career-high 129 yards at Quincy on Nov. 5...caught 14 passes out of the backfield, which was tied for fifth on the team...had a season-best three receptions in the Southwest Baptist and Indianapolis contests...was named to the Academic All-GLVC team.

2015 SEASON: Was second on the team (and led all McKendree running backs) with 463 rushing yards...was tied for second with five TDs on the ground...posted his first career 100-yard game with 110 yards and three touchdowns at home against Quincy on Nov. 7...added nine receptions for 67 yards...had two grabs in the Saint Joseph's contest on Oct. 17.

2014 SEASON: Was fourth on the team with 221 rushing yards...gained a season-high 74 yards on eight carries at Lincoln on Nov. 8...scored his lone rushing TD of the season at home versus William Jewell on Nov. 1...also caught 10 passes out of the backfield for 45 yards with another touchdowns...had three receptions versus Missouri S & T on Oct. 25...caught a three-yard TD pass at Lincoln...chipped in with three tackles on special teams.

2013 SEASON: Was a redshirt for the Bearcats.

BEFORE McK: Led Cahokia High School with 841 rushing yards and nine touchdowns as a senior...earned honorable mention All-Area honors for the Comanches...had nearly 1,000 yards rushing during his junior season...picked up All-Conference accolades.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Michael Edwards and Elaine Ricks.
