Student-Athlete Insurance Information
REQUIREMENTS:
The McKendree University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics REQUIRES all student-athletes to possess individual health insurance coverage BEFORE participating in any practice, game, and/or competition. The student-athlete's insurance should cover athletic related injuries and/or illnesses, and will be considered the PRIMARY insurance coverage. No student-athlete will be allowed to participate in any activity until proof of PRIMARY insurance is shown.
SECONDARY INSURANCE PLAN:
The McKendree University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics enrolls all student-athletes in a Student Accident Insurance Plan at no additional cost to the student-athlete. THIS POLICY IS SECONDARY TO, OR IN EXCESS OF, PRIMARY INSURANCE COVERAGE, and covers only injuries and accidents resulting from direct participation in the intercollegiate athletics program from the first to the last date a student-athlete is required to be on campus for participation in a covered event.
