AS A FRESHMAN (2012): Started 36 games at shortstop...batted .300 with five doubles and six RBI...was second on squad with six stolen bases...registered 11 multi-hit games, including one four-hit contest...was involved in 15 of the 32 double plays turned by the Bearcats.

BEFORE McK: Batted .355 as a senior at Dunlap High School...posted a career batting average of .370...was a second-team All-Conference selection as a senior for the Eagles...played for coach Rod Hatch.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Gary and Darlene Abbott.
