AS A JUNIOR (2017): Sat out the season as a medical redshirt.

BEFORE McK: Came to McKendree from Southwestern Illinois College...posted a 1-1 record with a 5.29 earned-run average in 2016 with the Blue Storm...struck out 33 batters in 32 1/3 innings...went 5-4 with a 1.85 ERA and a save as a senior at Rochester High School...also batted .425 with six home runs, 11 doubles, four triples and 11 stolen bases as a senior for the Rockets...was a two-time All-Conference honoree in high school.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Dan and Lynette Thompson.
