Alan Crocker joined the Bearcat baseball coaching staff in 2012. Crocker serves as the team's pitching coach.

Most recently, Crocker has served as a private pitching instructor. He has also been a consultant and scout for the Atlanta Braves organization. Crocker pitched in the Braves’ minor-league system, as well as the Kansas City Royals’ organization.

Crocker was a highly-decorated pitcher during his playing days at Carlyle High School. A four-year varsity performer, Crocker was the winningest pitcher in Egyptian-Illini Conference history, and was also one of the all-time wins leaders in Illinois High School Association (IHSA) history.

Crocker and his wife Kathy reside in Carlyle. They have two sons and three grandchildren.
