McKendree University Athletics

Brad Oster begins his eighth season as the assistant coach for the McKendree baseball squad. Oster will work with the Bearcat catchers and outfielders. He will also serve as the bench coach during the McKendree varsity games.

A two-year member of the Greenville College baseball team, Oster was an infielder for the Panthers. He batted .357 as a freshman at Greenville. Oster then continued his education at McKendree, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1997.

Oster comes from a rich baseball background. His grandfather played in the St. Louis Browns organization, while his father played at Greenville College. In addition, his brother enjoyed a successful playing and coaching career on the collegiate level.

In addition to his coaching duties at McKendree, Oster serves as the equipment manager for the Bearcat athletic department. Oster and his wife, Kristen, reside in Trenton. They have one daughter, Abigail Lyn.
