Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2015): Led the Bearcats' staff with 21 appearances, 20 of which came in relief...was 1-3 with a 5.02 earned-run average...earned lone win of the year by working four innings at Truman State on March 21...made only start of the season April 1 at Illinois Springfield...struck out 22 batters, which was tied for third on the squad.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): Pitched 12 games with three starts on the mound...was tied for third on the squad in pitching appearances...posted a 3-2 record with a 3.58 ERA...tossed his lone complete game of the season in 12-3 victory over Lewis on April 27...struck out 21 batters and walked just eight in 37 2/3 innings of work...also had one save versus Quincy on April 8...was second on team in ERA and tied for second in victories...induced three double-play ground balls, which was tied for the team lead...picked up Academic All-GLVC honors.

AS A FRESHMAN (2013): Tied for team lead with 16 appearances, 12 of which came in relief...went 4-3 with a 3.80 earned-run average...was third on team in ERA...led McKendree with three saves...all three saves came in GLVC play...also tossed one shutout among his four starts...tied for second on team with 20 strikeouts...was fourth on staff with 47 1/3 innings pitched.

BEFORE McK: Wrapped up a stellar career at Putnam County High School by earning first-team Illinois Class 1A All-State honors from the IHSBCA...was a three-time All-Conference and All-Area selection for the Panthers...was named the News-Tribune Player of the Year after posting a 9-1 record on the mound and a .510 batting average with four home runs as a junior in 2011.
