Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2017): Was the Bearcats' leader in mound victories for the second consecutive year...posted a 3-4 record with a team-best 4.18 earned run average in 13 appearances with 11 starts...struck out a team-leading 48 batters in 56 innings...fanned a season-best eight batters against William Jewell on March 10...tossed a combined three-hit shutout in the same contest...earned Academic All-GLVC mention for the third time.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Led McKendree with four victories on the mound...went 4-4 with a 5.59 earned-run average in 12 games that included nine starts...led the Bearcats with three shutouts, including a complete-game four-hitter against Lewis on April 30...also paced the team with 43 strikeouts...was named GLVC Pitcher of the Week when he struck out a career-best 12 in 7 1/3 innings of a 1-0 win at Illinois Springfield on March 26...grabbed Academic All-GLVC honors. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Pitched in 10 games with six starts...had a 1-5 record with a 7.41 ERA...led the Bearcats' staff with 31 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings of work...had a staff-high 24 strikeouts against GLVC opponents...tossed a complete-game one-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Saint Joseph's on April 18...was named to the Academic All-GLVC team.

BEFORE McK: Played for former McKendree standout Drew Gericke at Freeburg High School...was the Midgets' ace on the mound as a senior, posting an 8-1 overall record with a 1.51 earned-run average...registered 54 strikeouts in 65 innings pitched...tossed seven complete games in his 10 starts...ranked among area leaders in victories, complete games and innings pitched as a senior...also batted .330 with a home run and 27 RBI as a senior...was a key figure in Freeburg's run to the IHSA Class 2A state tournament semifinals...garnered All-State honors as a senior...was named as the Small-School Area Player of the Year by the Belleville News-Democrat as a senior...collected first-team All-Metro accolades as a senior from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch...collected All-Conference mention as a senior.
