2014 SEASON: Sat out season as a red-shirt.

BEFORE McK: Posted a record of 2-2 with a 2.00 earned-run average as a senior at Lincoln-Way Central High School...was 3-1 with a 2.10 ERA as a junior for the Knights...also helped the Plainfield Hitmen to a third-place finish in the 18-and-under division of the Pastime National World Series in his final year with the team...went 6-1 with a 1.90 ERA during that last season with the Hitmen. 

PERSONAL: Is the son of Mike and Donna Kahne.
