Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2012): Took over as the Bearcats' starting catcher during the final half of the 2012 season...played in 21 games with 16 starts behind the plate...batted .143 with three runs batted in...committed just one error on the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): Started eight games with the junior varsity program with one hit in 20 at-bats...named to the American Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference team.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Batted .211 with one RBI for the McKendree junior varsity program.

BEFORE McK: Batted .250 with 12 runs batted in as a senior at Metro East Lutheran High School...was a three-year starter for the Knights...helped Metro East Lutheran to a runner-up finish in the Illinois Class 2A State Tournament...was a member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Tom Sr. and Debbie Collins.
