Biography

2013 SEASON: Tied for the team lead with 64 tackles from his middle linebacker position...collected a career-best 12 tackles in the Bearcats' GLVC opener at William Jewell on Sept. 21...was named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts...reached double-digits in tackles twice...shared team lead with two forced fumbles and added 2 1/2 tackles for loss...received Academic All-GLVC honors.

2012 SEASON: Played in all 10 games at linebacker and on special teams...was 10th on team with 25 tackles, including 14 solos...had a season-high five tackles in games against Henderson State and Kentucky Wesleyan...also added one fumble recovery versus Missouri S & T...named to the Academic All-GLVC team.

BEFORE McK: Was a three-year letterman at Normal Community High School...was an All-State, All-Conference and All-Area selection for the Ironmen...had a team-high 137 tackles as a senior with five forced fumbles and a pair of quarterbacks sacks...was named team Most Valuable Player as a senior.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Warren Gerdes and Karen Allen.
