Biography

2016 SEASON: Honorable mention All-GLVC selection...started at outside linebacker for the second straight year...was tied for fourth on the team with 60 tackles, which included 26 solos...had a career-best 10 tackles in the Bearcats' double-overtime win at home over West Liberty on Sept. 10...had both of his interceptions in the same contest...also had 3 1/2 tackles for loss, two pass break-ups and a pair of blocked punts, one of which he returned 29 yards for a touchdown at Indianapolis on Oct. 8...named to the Academic All-GLVC team.

2015 SEASON: Earned honorable mention All-GLVC honors...was third on the team with 57 tackles, including 24 solos...posted a season-high eight stops at Missouri S&T on Oct. 24...added five tackles for loss, half of which came in the Saint Joseph's contest on Oct. 17...also added a 45-yard interception return for a score at Saint Joseph's...was named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 19...had one fumble recovery versus Northwood on Sept. 19.

2014 SEASON: Played in 10 games at outside linebacker and on special teams...was ninth on the team with 41 total tackles, including 28 solos...also had 4 1/2 tackles for loss with 1 1/2 quarterback sacks...registered a season-high 10 tackles at home against William Jewell on Nov. 1...added one fumble recovery at Northwood on Sept. 20...was credited with two kickoff returns for 24 yards.

BEFORE McK: Came to McKendree from Bloomington High School...was named the top defensive player in the conference after posting 119 tackles as a senior for the Purple Raiders...was an All-Conference and All-Area honoree as a senior...was also named team Most Valuable Player as a senior...had 114 tackles on his way to All-Conference accolades as a junior.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Paul and Anne Weltha.
