Biography

2017 SEASON: Was a starter in 10 of 11 contests at safety...was sixth on the team with 50 tackles, including 27 solos...registered eight tackles in two different contests -- Oct. 7 at Indianapolis and Nov. 4 at home against Quincy...was second on the team with three interceptions, one of which was returned 32 yards for a touchdown at William Jewell on Sept. 23...collected second-team All-GLVC accolades...was a member of the Academic All-GLVC team.

2016 SEASON: Started 10 of 11 games at strong safety for McKendree...tied for fourth on the squad with 60 tackles, including 32 solos...had a season-high nine tackles at home against William Jewell on Sept. 24...tied for the team lead with three interceptions...also added three pass break-ups, one fumble recovery and one tackle for loss...had at least three tackles in each of the Bearcats' 11 contests...earned Academic All-GLVC honors.

2015 SEASON: Was a redshirt for the Bearcats. 

BEFORE McK: Registered 77 tackles as a senior at Fort Zumwalt West High School...also had three interceptions and forced a fumble for the Jaguars...was a three-time All-Conference honoree as a defensive back...also collected Academic All-Conference mention three times at Fort Zumwalt West.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Craig Benoist and Stacy Bell.
