DeAndre Hollier

DeAndre Hollier is in his first season as an assistant football coach for McKendree University. He will coach tight ends with the Bearcats.

Hollier comes to McKendree after spending the past four years as the quarterbacks coach at Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Ga. In his time at Langston Hughes High School, he was responsible for all aspects of coaching quarterbacks and assisted in weekly game plans and performed film breakdowns of weekly opponents. 

In his four seasons at the school, he coached the 2020 Region Player of the Year (Xavier Smith) and coached the second leading passer in the Region in 2021 (Air Noland - 2,581 yards and a 64% completion percentage) and two First-Team All-Region quarterbacks. 

Prior to working at Langston Hughes High School, Hollier spent six months in 2018 as a graduate assistant football coach at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. In his time at Southern, he worked with the offensive line and assisted with on-campus recruiting and was the sideline coordinator. In addition, he recruited the Metro Atlanta area for the Jaguars. 

After working at Southern University, Hollier spent 14 months as a recruiting assistant at Georgia Southern University. In that position, he organized and assisted with the evaluation of prospects in South Georgia, North Florida and Jacksonville, Fla., area. He also helped lead prospects on campus tours at Georgia Southern and helped with game day recruiting. 

Along with high school and college coaching experience, Hollier spent the Summer of 2017 as an Operations Assistant for USA Football Camp. In that role, he helped with player engagement and was involved with all team operations from dorms to practice fields, meetings, meals and competitions. 

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Georgia Southern University in 2017. During his time as a student at Georgia Southern, Hollier spent the 2015 school year as the President of the Georgia Southern Chapter of the NAACP and was the founder of Greenwood, Archer and Pine non-profit organization.
