The other new addition to the Bearcat coaching staff is Mason Keeler, who will be coaching the Bearcat Defensive Line. Coach Keeler brings six years of coaching experience to the Bearcats with stops at the Division I and II levels, along with a season of experience in the European League of Football with the Wroclaw Panthers.
Coming to Lebanon after a season with the Eastern Illinois University Panthers where he was the Special Teams Quality Control coach. Keeler was responsible for the scout special teams preparation during practices. He also assisted in coaching the kickers, punters, snappers, holders and returners. EIU went 8-3 during the 2023 season including a 4-2 mark in the Big South-OVC.
In his one season with the Wroclaw Panthers, Keeler was the Special Teams Coordinator, Tight Ends and Running Backs coach. They finished the season 8-5 with a playoff berth. He helped to coach the league’s leading rusher and single game rushing record for an ELF player. Overall, Coach Keeler played a part in assisting most of the position groups.
No stranger to Division II, Coach Keeler spent a season with Seton Hill University in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, where he was the Defensive Flex Linebackers coach. During his time, he coached the top tackler in all of Division II and had the eleventh ranked defense in the nation.
During his time at the University of Wyoming, he spent three season as a Student Assistant and a Graduate Assistant.
