Tom Jensen

Tom Jensen

Tom Jensen begins his second season with the McKendree University football coaching staff. Jensen is the offensive line coach for the Bearcats as well as the program's recruiting coordinator.


Jensen came to McKendree with impressive coaching and playing credentials. From 1981-99, Jensen was an offensive line coach and offensive coordinator at Millikin University. He was a part of Carl Poelker’s coaching staff during Poelker’s 14-year tenure with the Big Blue. Most recently, Jensen was the offensive line coach at Mt. Zion High School in 2006-07.


For the last eight years, Jensen was employed by the Lutheran School Association in Decatur, Ill. He was an elementary school principal for five years and served three years as a history teacher at the seventh- and eighth-grade level.


As a player, Jensen was a three-year letterman at the University of Michigan. He was a member of the Wolverines' 1976 Orange Bowl squad. Jensen graduated from Michigan in 1976.


Jensen has two children, Daniel and Julia.
