Biography

2016 SEASON: Second-team All-GLVC selection...was second on the squad with 65 tackles, including 31 solos...registered a career-high 11 tackles to lead the Bearcats to victory at Quincy on Nov. 5...added 3 1/2 tackles for loss along with one quarterback sack that came at Drake on Sept. 17...added two pass break-ups and a quarterback hurry...started at outside linebacker for the second consecutive year...named to the Academic All-GLVC team.

2015 SEASON: Was a starter at outside linebacker for McKendree...was fourth on the team with 52 tackles, including 31 solos...had a career-high eight tackles on four different occasions, including each of the final two games of the year against Quincy on Nov. 7 and at Truman State on Nov. 14...also had a forced fumble and fumble recovery...grabbed his lone interception of the season at William Jewell on Sept. 26.

2014 SEASON: Played in all 11 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams...finished the season with 11 tackles, including seven solos...had a season-high three tackles in the Bearcats' season opener at home with Ferris State on Sept. 4...was named to the Academic All-GLVC team.

BEFORE McK: Came to McKendree from Civic Memorial High School...was a two-time first-team All-Conference honoree for the Eagles...was named the Illinois Shriners All-Star Game Offensive Most Valuable Player...earned the Alton Knights of Columbus Offensive Back of the Year award in both 2012 and 2013.

PERSONAL: Is the son Rich and Angie Kirkpatrick.
