Biography

2018 SEASON: Named as a second-team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection...led McKendree with 106 tackles, including 54 solos...became just the fourth player in program history with at least 100 tackles in a season...collected 10 or more tackles on four different occasions, including a career-high 15 stops at home against Missouri S&T on Nov. 3...posted four tackles for loss along with one forced fumble and two pass break-ups...was third in the GLVC in tackles per game.

2017 SEASON: Started seven games at middle linebacker...was third on the team with 74 tackles, 36 of which were solos...had nine tackles for loss and four quarterback sacks...was fourth on the squad in tackles for loss and tied for third in sacks...posted a career-best 14 tackles on two different occasions -- Aug. 31 in the season opener at Angelo State and Sept. 30 at home versus Southwest Baptist...was an honorable mention All-GLVC choice...was named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week after notching 14 tackles, including 2 1/2 for loss against Southwest Baptist.

2016 SEASON: Played in nine games on special teams and as a reserve at linebacker...collected eight tackles, including four solos...had three tackles at Southwest Baptist on Oct. 1...added 2 1/2 tackles for loss and a pair of quarterback sacks. 

2015 SEASON: Was a redshirt for the Bearcats. 

BEFORE McK: Led Alton High School with 105 tackles as a senior...also had four quarterback sacks and a fumble recovery as a senior for the Redbirds...was named the Riverbend Co-Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year...was an All-State honoree and a first-team All-Conference selection as a senior.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Ricco, Sr., and Rosalind Gipson.
