Korbin Farmer joined McKendree University men’s basketball staff in the fall of 2020 as a graduate assistant under Coach Chris Foster. Farmer remained on staff as a graduate assistant under Coach George Suggs for the 2021-22 season, before moving into a volunteer assistant role in the summer of 2022.

Before coaching, Farmer had a standout four-year collegiate basketball career at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. In his time with the Big Blue, Farmer played in 93 games and made 44 starts. He scored 465 points, pulled down 340 rebounds, dished out 53 assists, blocked 64 shots, and collected 42 steals in his career.

Off the court, Farmer was a three-year member of Millikin’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a two-time President (2019, 2020) of the Millikin Council. In the classroom, he was a four-time member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Winter All-Academic Team and a four-time recipient of the CCIW’s Jack Swartz Award.

A native of Columbia, Illinois, Farmer helped lead his high school to their first-ever ISHA 3A regional title in 2016. He scored 1,011 points in 106 games with the Eagles.

Currently, Farmer serves as Area Representative for the Greater St. Louis region Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). In his role with FCA, Farmer works with many local high school and middle school campuses in addition to serving coaches and athletes at McKendree and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. At McKendree, he helps a variety of athletic programs through conducting team Bible studies and leading gameday chapels.

Farmer graduated from Millikin in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and philosophy and earned his MBA from McKendree in 2022. He was a Presidential Scholar and Dean’s list member while at Millikin, and graduated as the top MBA student in 2022.
