Shay Kellerman is in his third year as a student coach for the McKendree University men's basketball program. His duties include on-the-floor coaching and video services.
After beginning his collegiate experience at Rend Lake College, Kellerman came to McKendree. Prior to that, Kellerman lettered at guard and forward at Pinckneyville High School. He led the Panthers in assists in each of his last two seasons, and was also the team's top rebounder as a senior. Kellerman was named to the All-Tournament teams in both the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic and Benton Invitational Tournament. He was part of the Pinckneyville squad that captured a regional championship in 2010.
Kellerman, a native of Pinckneyville, Ill., is working toward a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
