2016-17 SEASON: Played in 22 games in a reserve role...led team with 15 blocks in his first season with the program...had three blocks in the Bearcats' win over Central Christian on Dec. 7...averaged one point and 2.7 rebounds per outing...pulled down a season-best six rebounds in the season opener versus Robert Morris-Springfield on Nov. 12 and against Bellarmine on Dec. 3.
BEFORE McK: Played two seasons at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Ill....appeared in 29 games as a sophomore...averaged 4.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest as a sophomore for the Lakers...led team in field goal percentage, connecting on just under 54 percent of his tries from the field...was second in blocks with 23...played his senior season of high school basketball at St. Patrick's High School in Carrboro, N.C.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Samuel and Rucheal Atabo...was a junior college teammate of McKendree guard/forward David Franklin.
