Mckendree University head men's soccer coach Scott Gyllenborg has announced the addition of Adam Knight to the Bearcat Staff. Knight will work alongside Gyllenborg as his graduate assistant coach, starting in the 2019 season.
Knight, originally from Wakefield, England played at Leeds United FC Academy in England before making his way over to the States.
Knight first played at Indiana Tech University for two years, before transferring to Hastings College in 2015. While playing for the Broncos, he hit some big achievements winning both 2015 and 2016 Great Plaines Athletic Conference(GPAC) Titles as well as earning GPAC All-Conference honors. During his senior year, Knight went on to win the 2016 NAIA National Championship going undefeated all season.
In between college, Knight played three summers in the USL League 2 for the St. Louis Lions and the Des Moines Menace.
After graduating with a BA in Exercise Science, Knight went to play for Philadelphia Fury as well as playing in Spain for Marbella Utd and in Croatia for NK Novigrad.
Knight holds a FA Level 1 Coaching License, US Soccer D License, and is a Certified Personal Trainer
