Victor Chagonda

    Graduate Assistant Men's Soccer Coach
Victor Chagonda joins the men's soccer staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2015. His main responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all areas, including national and international recruiting.

Chagonda joins the program after playing for four years at Philadelphia University. He was a two-time All-Conference honoree for the Rams, including first-team honors as a senior, and helped lead the program to two conference championships. In his final collegiate season, Chagonda led Philadelphia in scoring with 11 goals and also tallied four assists.

He earned Daktronics/Division II Conference Commssioners Association Third Team All-America honors, making him the first Philadelphia soccer player to earn All-America honors in 25 years. He was also a First-Team All-Region selection by the Daktronics/Division II Conference Commissioners Association, and was a NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA All-East Region Second-Team selection. Chagonda was also a Conference Tournament MVP and All-Tournament team selection.

Chagonda played for the Los Angeles Misioneros FC of the USL Premiere Development league in the summer of 2014 and 2015, helping lead the team to the conference playoffs in 2014 for the first time in team history.

Chagonga, a native of Harare, Zimbabwe, is the son of Lameck and Debra Chagonda. He also has two brothers, Jonathan and Antony Chagonda.
