Biography

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR  (2017): Appeared in 50 sets across 21 matches putting down 37 kills, hitting .132. to go with 30 digs, three aces and 10 blocks. Put down a season high seven kills on two occasions and a season high five digs versus Quincy on Apr. 6. 

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2016): Appeared in 13 matches recording eight kills on 32 attempts adding 14 digs and three blocks.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Sat out the season as a redshirt.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Led McKendree in its inaugural season in kills with 230 and service aces with 16...put down a season-high 15 kills at home against Grand Canyon on Feb. 9...reached double figures in attacks in 10 different times...served up three aces versus Culver-Stockton at home on Feb. 15...was third on team with 144 digs...also put up 21 blocks (seven solos). 

BEFORE McK: Earned four letters during high school career at Highland Park High School…earned first-team Lake County All-Area and was a Central Suburban League All-Conference choice…played for USA High Performance in 2011 and 2012…was named one of Top 50 Players in the State for Boys Youth Continental in 2012 and 2013.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Mark and Paula Borenstein.
