AS A SENIOR (2022-23): Started in all 33 games for the Bearcats, averaging 34.5 minutes per game.. was the third leading scorer on the team with 12.6 points per game.. record double digit scoring in 20 games, with a season high of 24 points vs Northern Michigan in the DII Midwest Regional Semifinal (3/12)... shot 48.7% from the field, 44.9% from three-point territory and 76.6% from the free throw line.
BEFORE McK: Attended Lafayette High School in Lexington, Ky...played basketball for four years and earned All 11th Region and All City honors during his senior year...attended Asbury University in Wilmore, Ky. from 2018-22...started 72 games in three seasons at Asbury, recording over 1,200 points...earned Second Team All-Conference in 2020...in 2021, was named an NCCAA Third Team All-American in addition to the NCCAA All-Tournament Team...earned First Team Midwest Region.
PERSONAL: Born March 8...son of Eric and Roniele Powell...majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Sport Psychology...has one sister, Kiera...lists the Boston Celtics as his favorite sports team...hopes to continue to play basketball and work in the business side of sports in the future.
