Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2018): Appeared in 97 sets across 26 matches, finishing fifth in the MIVA with 216 digs...picked up a season high 16 digs against Ball State on February 10...twice earned conference Defensive Player of the Week honors...Academic All-MIVA.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017): Appeared in 109 sets across 30 matches, ranking fourth in the MIVA with 228 digs...added 63 assists..stuck a season high 15 digs against Pepperdine on Jan. 4.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016): Was one of two Bearcats to appear in all 25 matches pacing the team with 193 digs for an average of 2.19 per set that placed him third in the conference, while recording 44 assists. Hit double digits in digs nine times including a season high 14 on both February 6 versus IPFW and March 17 against King.
BEFORE McK: Had 276 digs as a senior at Francis Howell High School...also added 42 assists and nine service aces for the Vikings...set a school record with 332 digs as a junior...also holds program record for most digs in a match...was a first-team All-Conference honoree as a junior and senior...was twice named a second-team All-State selection...played for the St. Louis High Performance volleyball program.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Christopher Thompson.
