John graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2010 from the University of New Mexico. He went on to earn a Masters of Science and Education in Kinesiology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2013. John spent nine years as an athletic trainer at Pinckneyville Community High School/Orthopedic Institute of Southern Illinois. In the summer of 2010, John interned with the New Orleans Saints. He then went on to be the interim head athletic trainer for the Southern Illinois Miners baseball team in summer of 2016. He joined the McKendree staff in August of 2022.
John is certified by the BOC and is a member of the NATA.
