Nicole (Bohnenstiehl) Pinaire joins the program for her first season as pitching coach.
Pinaire is no stranger to softball diamonds in the St. Louis area. She helped lead Lebanon High School to a runner-up finish in the state tournament as a junior, was a two-time All-State selection and was named Player of the Year three-times by the Belleville News-Democrat during her prep career.
During her collegiate career, Pinaire was a member of two University of Southern Mississippi teams that reached the Women's College World Series, before transferring to Saint Louis University where she served as team captain, and was a four-time All-Conference USA selection and five-time Conference USA Pitcher of the Week. Upon graduation, she held 14 career pitching and three hitting records following her three seasons for the Billikens. She was inducted into the Saint Louis University Hall of Fame in 2011.
She has also played softball around the world as one of only three americans playing for the Dornbirn Sharx in Australia, in addition to a third place finish in the European Cup in Barcelona, Spain and winning a Austrian National Championship. She was named MVP at both the European Cup and the Austrian National Championship tournaments.
Pinaire and her husband, Chris, reside in St. Louis and have a daughter Zoe.
