Parrisa Sakinejad joins the women's lacrosse program in 2017-18 as a graduate assistant coach.
Sakinejad, who recently concluded an impressive career at Florida Southern College, brings championship-caliber experience to the Bearcats as she led the defensive unit of the Mocs to the 2016 and 2017 National Championships.
At Florida Southern, Sakinejad played in 58 games making 55 starts. She collected 113 groundballs while adding 76 caused turnovers. The Millers, Maryland native was selected as a member of the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-South Second Team as well as an All-Independent First-Team pick during her playing career.
Sakinejad joins the Bearcat coaching staff after coaching at Lakeland High School and Tampa Elite Lacrosse Club. While coaching at Tampa Elite, Sakinejad gained experience running camps and clinics for kids ages 4-18.
