Blake DeLong is the Mama Gusto's Male Athlete of the Week for the period covering Nov. 1-7. DeLong (Hillsboro, Ill./Hillsboro) raced to a second-place finish at last week's American Midwest Conference Men's Cross Country championship held at Forest Park in St. Louis. DeLong covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 24:44.82 in helping McKendree earn its second straight AMC championship and a berth in the NAIA National Championship Nov. 20 in Vancouver, Wash. DeLong received All-Conference accolades for his second-place finish at the AMC Meet.
