Box Score (ST. CHARLES, Mo., October 1)- The McKendree University men's soccer team scored a goal in the second half on Saturday to defeat Lindenwood University, 1-0.

The Bearcats improved to 11-0 overall and will return to action on Tuesday, October 4 for a home match against Mid-Continent University at 6 p.m.

After a scoreless first half, senior defender Sam James (Southampton. England/Tauntons) (Southampton, England/Tauntons) gave McKendree a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal in the 66th minute. The Bearcats defense held the Lions scoreless in the final 24 minutes of the contest to earn the victory.

Senior goalkeeper Joe Sagar (Oldham, England/Hulme) (Oldham, England/Hulme) improved to 11-0 overall and had four saves.
