Box Score (KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 12)- The McKendree University men's soccer team lost at Rockhurst University on Friday night 3-0.

The Bearcats fall to 7-6 overall and 5-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with the loss, and travel to Liberty, Mo., on Sunday to face No. 21 William Jewell College in a conference match at 2:30 p.m.

The Hawks scored twice in the first half to take control of the match early. Mark Magee put Rockhurst up 1-0 in the 11th minute, and a goal by Keith Williams extended the lead to 2-0 in the 33rd minute.

Magee struck again in the 56th minute for the Hawks on a penalty kick to score the final goal of the game and deal the Bearcats the 3-0 loss.

Freshman goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) fell to 4-5 overall and had three saves in the loss. Freshman goalkeeper Matt Derrington (St. Louis, Mo./Trinity Catholic) played the final 28:22 in goal for McKendree and faced one shot.
