Box Score (OWENSBORO, Ky., Oct. 21)- Junior forward Amy Cassiday (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) scored two goals, while freshman forward Alyssa Patterson (Troy, Ill./Triad) recorded two assists, in a 4-0 win at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

The Bearcats improved to 8-5-2 overall and 7-5-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with the victory and will host Bellarmine University on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m., for their final conference contest of the season. McKendree will honor its seniors with a senior day celebration prior to the game.

After holding a narrow, 7-5, shot advantage in the first half, the Bearcats outshot the Panthers 11-1 in the second half and scored four goals.

Cassiday put McKendree in front 1-0 in the 56th minute after scoring on an assist from junior midfielder Sadie Delashmit (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington).

Cassiday struck again in the 68th minute on an assist from Patterson that put the Bearcats up 2-0.

Patterson recorded her second assist of the match in the 75th minute on a goal by freshman midfielder Cassie Kaiping (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) that put McKendree in front 3-0, and sophomore Mary Geiger (Fairmont City, Ill./Althoff Catholic) scored her first goal of the season in the 84th minute on an assist by junior midfielder Tara Kennedy (Waterloo, Ill./Gibault Catholic) to close out the scoring.

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South) improved to 8-5-2 on the season and had five saves in just over 76 minutes in goal. Freshman goalkeeper Tayler Pulvirenti (Maryville, Ill./Collinsville) played the remaining 13 minutes in goal to close out the match.
