Mary Geiger (Fairmont City, Ill./Althoff Catholic) led the McKendree University women's soccer team to a 3-2 win over cross-river rival Lindenwood University on Tuesday night.
McKendree ends its season with an overall record of 10-6-2 and have posted double-digit wins for 14 consecutive seasons.
A goal by Lindenwood's Kirsten Crabtree in the 18th minute placed McKendree in a one-goal deficit for the first half. The Bearcats outshot the Lions, 13-2, in the first half but couldn't score and headed into the break trailing 1-0.

Cassie Kaiping (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) tied the match in the 52nd minute on an assist from freshman forward
Alyssa Patterson (Troy, Ill./Triad), and Kaiping struck again in the 68th minute on an assist by junior defender/midfielder
Tara Kennedy (Waterloo, Ill./Gibault Catholic) to put McKendree in front 2-1.
The Lions tied it up, 2-2, in the 79th minute on a goal by Haley Stewart, and the match appeared to be headed to overtime until Geiger buried a shot from 25 yards out, her second goal of the season, to put the Bearcats in front 3-2 and earn the win.
Junior goalkeeper
Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South) recorded one save and improved to 9-6-2 overall on the season with the victory.
