Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 5)- The McKendree University men's soccer team gave up a goal in the 85th minute and couldn't equalize in the final five minutes to fall to Missouri S&T 1-0.

The Bearcats fall to 7-4 overall and 5-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with the loss, and will host No. 8 Drury University on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 2:30 p.m.

McKendree outshot the Miners in both halves, 9-5 in the first half and 9-6 in the second, but couldnt capitalize on its opportunities when they presented themselves. Nine of the Bearcats 18 shots were placed on frame in the match.

It wasn't until the 85th minute that a goal was scored, with the Miners Timmy Kenny scoring on a long pass from Peter Haw, to break the game open and put Missouri S&T in front 1-0. The Bearcats couldn't create chances in the final five minutes and fell 1-0.

Freshman goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) fell to 4-4 overall and had five saves in the loss.
