Men's Soccer Team Set To Host Two GLVC Contests This Weekend

The men's soccer team will play host to University of Indianapolis and Saint Joseph's College at Leemon Field this weekend.

The Bearcats and Greyhounds will kick things off on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. for a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest. McKendree enters this weekend with a record of 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the GLVC, while Indianapolis is 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the GLVC.

On Sunday afternoon, the Bearcats will square off against the Pumas at 2:30 p.m.  Saint Joseph's College is 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the GLVC entering Friday night.

GETTING BACK ON TRACK: McKendree is hoping to get back on the winning track this weekend after suffering a 1-0 loss to then-No. 14 Quincy University. The Bearcats are 1-0 this season when coming off of a loss.

HITTING THE ROAD: Sunday marks the final game of a four-game homestand for the Bearcats. McKendree take its first true roadtrip next weekend to play Lewis University on Friday, followed by a match Sunday against University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS: University of Indianapolis dropped both of its matches last weekend, losing, 3-1, at Drury, before being edged at Missouri S&T, 1-0, on Sunday.  The Greyhounds have lost three straight, dating back to a loss to then-No. 15 Rockhurst, 3-2, on Sep. 9. Indianpolis is currently 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the GLVC.

SCOUTING THE PUMAS: Saint Joseph's College fell victim to two shutouts last weekend, 2-0, at Missouri S&T on Friday, followed by a 4-0 loss at Drury on Sunday. The Pumas have dropped four-straight dating back to a 4-0 loss against then-No. 15 Rockhurst on Sep. 7. Saint Joseph's is currently 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the GLVC.
