Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 22)—The McKendree University volleyball team earned its first home victory of the season Saturday with a three-set sweep of Saint Joseph's College at the Melvin Price Convocation Center. The Bearcats edged the visiting Pumas in all three sets, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-23.
McKendree improves to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. The Bearcats will step out of conference Tuesday when they host Missouri Baptist University. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
Against Saint Joseph's, freshman outside hitter
Hannah Wessel (Waterloo, IL/Gibault Catholic) led McKendree for the second consecutive match in kills. Wessel put down 18 attacks against the Pumas. Junior middle hitter Mel Duncan chipped in with 11 kills and four assisted blocks.

Maddie Kelly (Lake Saint Louis, MO/Timberland) handled a team-best 17 digs, while junior hitter
Meghan Dohogne (Cape Girardeau, MO/Notre Dame Regional) was close behind with 15 digs.
Hannah Beden led Saint Joseph's (3-11, 0-5 GLVC) with 10 kills. The teams will meet one more time this season on Nov. 9 in Rensselaer, Ind.
