LEBANON, Ill. -- The McKendree women's volleyball team is set to compete against Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) travel partner University of Missouri – St. Louis Friday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. in the Melvin Price Convention Center.
After facing #T-23 University of Indianapolis, and a set win from Lewis University this past weekend, the Bearcats are searching to shake up conference standings. UMSL (17-6, 9-1 GLVC) has already clinched a bid to the GLVC championship tournament and stands second in the conference. With only one team to prepare for the weekend, the Bearcats are looking for a competitive match-up.
The Tritons have played a total of 23 sets in their last 5 matches—their last sweep victory being Missouri S&T on Oct. 10. Right side hitter Alanya Santel leads the offense in kills during conference play, totaling 171 and 4.38 kills/set. Defensively, libero Skylar Weaver leads the team in digs with 226 in conference play. The Bearcats offensive anchor, outside hitter Reece Distler, holds 70 kills in conference play, along with 75 digs.
McKendree is encouraging all fans to participate in a Black-Out. Admission for the games this weekend in the MPCC will be $10 for general admission, $5 for 65 and older, and $25 for a weekend pass. Children 12 and under, as well as students have free admission. All games will be streamed on the GLVC Sports Network.
