The McKendree University men's soccer team will be on the road this weekend for two Great Lakes Valley Conference contests.

The Bearcats will be in Romeoville, Ill., tonight for a 5 p.m., contest at Lewis University. The Flyers are enter tonights contest with an overall record of 3-5 overall (3-3 GLVC).

McKendree will travel to Kenosha, Wis., on Sunday for a noon contest at University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The Rangers enter the weekend with an overall record of 3-4-1 (2-4 GLVC).

HITTING THE ROAD: The Bearcats are taking their first real roadtrip this weekend. McKendree's previous conference road games were in St. Louis, Mo., at Maryville University and University of Missouri-St. Louis.

SMITH BREAKS INTO CAREER TOP 10 LIST: Junior midfielder Kavel Smith (Kingston, Jamaica/St. George’s College) broke into McKendree's all-time game-winning goal list. His five career game-winning goals are tied for ninth all-time.

FLIP-FLOP: The men's team will be the opening act twice this weekend by playing the first game of both GLV C men's/women's soccer doubleheaders this weekend. The men's soccer team is scheduled to follow the women's contest in 12 of their 15 GLV C contests this season.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS: Lewis University heads into the weekend with a record of 3-5 overall and 3-3 in the GLV C. The Flyers split its contests last weekend, defeating Kentucky Wesleyan, 1-0 in double overtime, on Friday, and dropping a 3-2 decision at University of Southern Indiana on Sunday, 3-2 overtime.

SCOUTING THE RANGERS: University of Wisconsin-Parkside heads into the weekend with an overall record of 3-4-1 and a 2-4 record in the GLVC. The Rangers ended a four-game losing streak last Sunday with a 6-1 win at Kentucky Wesleyan College. Two of those four losses were to No. 19 Drury University and No. 25 Rockhurst University.
